Just as there are days when the physical darkness of the Earth is most intense, so there are seasons in our lives that plunge us into spiritual and emotional darkness.  Christmas reminds us that “the Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness cannot overcome it” (John 1:5).    While the birth of Christ offers us great hope, the joy of Christmas can seem very incongruous for those who are in darkness.      The Longest Night Service is a time of preparation for Christmas for anyone who finds this time of year difficult for any reason (whether that be loss and grief, strained family relationships, loneliness or financial hardship).    This year our service will be on December 16th at 7 p.m.    Come for yourself or bring a friend and discover the strength, peace and hope you need to get you through this month.
